Amber Cold Health Alert

An amber cold-health alert has been issued for the West Midlands via the UK Health Security Agency.   

The amber alert (cold weather response) is in effect from 10am on 18/11/2024 until 6pm on 23/11/2024.

This is an important stage for health and social services to ensure readiness and swift action to reduce harm from cold weather.  

Guidance to assist professionals in protecting vulnerable people are set out in the Adverse Weather and Health Plan for England.
